The Simple Present Tense : S + V1 + O
We use The Simple Present
Tense for the actions thet we do everyday as a habit,. We also use it for the
general truth.
E.g :
1.
I like healthy
drinks.
2.
You love a romance movie but
she loves an action movie.
3.
Do you love a romance movie?
4.
I go to work everyday.
5.
The sun rises from the east.
The
Present Continuous Tense : S + am/is/are + verb-ing + O
We use this tense for the actions we are doing at the present
moment (now) the action is still in progress.
E.g :
1.
I am driving a car to Jakarta now.
2 . I am living with my sister at the
moment.
3.
I am spending my holiday on Kuta
beach next month.
4.
She doesn’t know if I am spying
her.
5.
Don’t speak when you are eating,
you can got choked.
The
Present Perfect Tense : S + have/has + V3 + O
We use this tense the
actions that we do in the past but the result an still be seen at present. Here
we stress on the result of the action, and not the time of the activity.
E.g :
1.
My students have
improved their English.
2.
This is the first time she has written a
love letter.
3.
Peter has gone to the bookstore.
4.
Julia hasn’t finished her Science project.
5.
Have I told you about my
girlfriend?
The
Present Perfect Continuous Tense : S + have/has + been + verb-ing + O
We use this tense for the
actions that begin in the past and still being continued up to now.
E.g :
1.
When I know that you have been earning money
by your own
2.
The police has
been arresting many criminals that
escaped from the jail
3.
I have been
sweeping the floor from dirt and
now I am tired
4.
It has not
been swimming because no one takes my dog to swim
5.
Has he been driving for five hours?
